V.S (for Very Special) , also called *** (or Three Stars) is is a cognac which youngest eau-de-vie is at least two and a half years old. A Cognac may be sold only when its youngest eau-de-vie reaches a minimum of two and a half years old, as of the first day of October following the harvest of the grapes.
Only the years of storage in oak barrels count to determine its age. Once transferred into glass, the Cognac stops maturing . It stands still.
These young cognacs are ideal to be used for Long Drinks or to make Cocktails. The fruit creams and liqueurs are also essential to make nice cocktails.
Couprie - Sélection du Domaine
This Cognac has been aged in oak barrels for a few years in our cellars. While this young, powerful Cognac does not show much oak influence, it has rich aromas and a round, attractive flavour. The colour is slightly amber due to barrel ageing.
