Louis-Olivier Chabasse, the rightful heir to the firm at the turn of the century, with a passion for travel and exoticism, mixed business with pleasure in representing the brand all over the globe. He has a preference for the French colonies in Africa and Indochina, but also a strong feeling for the regions under British influence in Asia and the Pacific.

In the course of one of his trips, he met an outstanding woman who was to change the whole course of his life: Miss Elisabeth Bowen, who was running a farm on the East coast of India, near Madras. She had a passion for nature and wild life, and literally captivated Louis-Olivier with her audacity and free spirit. It was for her that he prepared a special, particularly aromatic Cognac which still bears her name.
