Louis-Olivier Chabasse, the rightful heir to the firm at the turn of the century, with a passion for travel and exoticism, mixed business with pleasure in representing the brand all over the globe. He has a preference for the French colonies in Africa and Indochina, but also a strong feeling for the regions under British influence in Asia and the Pacific. | | | In the course of one of his trips, he met an outstanding woman who was to change the whole course of his life: Miss Elisabeth Bowen, who was running a farm on the East coast of India, near Madras. She had a passion for nature and wild life, and literally captivated Louis-Olivier with her audacity and free spirit. It was for her that he prepared a special, particularly aromatic Cognac which still bears her name. |
