| Cognac Frapin BACCARAT RABELAIS : Limited edition of Baccarat Crystal decanters for François Rabelais, son of Anne Catherine Frapin’s, 500th anniversary.  | Our cuvée Rabelais comes from a blend of our very old Grande Champagne, First Growth Cognac, carefully matured in our cellars. Some of these Cognacs where stored in our cellars prior to the great Phylloxera epidemic that destroyed the Charente vineyards in the late 1870’s. In order to present our special cuvée Rabelais to celebrate the 500th Anniversary of François Rabelais’s birth, we have chosen a specially Baccarat Crystal Decanter reproduction of one used in the 16th Century. This decanter is decorated with emblems of the Renaissance (the Peacok, the Book of Knowledge, the Horn of Plenty). The stoppers shows François Rabelais’s portrait. All decoration are engraved in pure 24 carats gold. |
