This past summer , a visit to Cognac A. De Fussigny lead me to their very own distillery established in 1814 on the banks of the Charente River in the historical center of Cognac, France. It is worth noting that this distillery, and its outstanding alambic, was the last in operation in the historical centre of Cognac.
The ageing cellar's proximity to the river create the conditions for perfect hygrometry and thus an excellent ageing process for our cognacs.
The team at A de Fussigny is driven by a single quest: to combine authentic French tradition with state-of-the art modernity and innovation.
- Strength, authenticity , value of heritage conveyed by the logo with the fire breathing lion In a traditionally conservative environment, A. de Fussigny has brought “Modern Luxury” to the industry
- Own blending and ageing process gives Cognac a soft and rich taste
- Modern packaging inspired by the perfume industry
- Unique combination of traditional Cognac production and modern elaboration processes ; one of the few houses whose production facilities still located in the historic centre of Cognac
Perfect balance between dried fruits, spices (pepper), hazelnut and some floral notes. Rich and elegant palate with hints of plum and liquorice
PRODUCTION : No chemical products or fertilisers
VINIFICATION : The wine is left untreated ( no added sulphur or yeast)
DISTILLATION: Distilled from organically grown grapes. Traditional distillation method allows the cognac to develop richer aromatic notes. No added chemicals.
