Same origin and history as the 1944 FINS BOIS. The feminine softness of the Grande Champagne area is confirmed here. Give it time to reveal itself; you will discover a delicate union between the stripped tannins of its roughness and the refinement of the flavours of the cognac.
Rough from cask.

"Amber and sustained colour. Fine nose, with a combined and superlative complexity. Perfect balance between fullness and softness, liquorice and mushroom, acidity and freshness with irresistible notes of rose tea and tobacco. Palate in line with the nose, fresh and pure, tight and fine, with a texture and a grain of impalpable smoothness, combining violet and candied fruits. Consistency, length developed in stages. Persistence, minerality, complexity and elegance meet in this bottle which, like the great wines, brings together normally paradoxical qualities. Twelve hundred bottles were taken from this jewel to the unanimous amazement of our committee; every cognac lover should taste it to see what can be achieved with Grande Champagne. Here, the act of tasting concedes before aesthetic emotion. Sublime, did you say sublime ?"
