THE COGNAC OF MADAME RAYMOND RAGNAUD AND HER CHILDREN

Our Eau-de-vie are thus the result of a long process that begins with the knowledge of the vine growers, mindful of nature and the rhythm of the seasons, and ends with the ripening of the grape harvest.
Once the wine has fermented the distillation begins in our two traditional « Charentais » pot-stills using the ancestral method of two heatings in order to separate out and reserve the very heart of the Cognac, known as the « Bonne Chauffe ».

The Grande Champagne thus obtained is 70° proof and must now spend many long years in barrels made of limousin oak.
Here, in the heart of the wood, the Cognac ages and becomes a delicate amber colour with an incomparable finesse and elegance. Under the watchful eye of Madame BRICQ our cellar master harmoniously blends the different Eaux-de-Vie in order to obtain the subtle aroma of a Raymond RAGNAUD Cognac.

Once bottled, after different periods of ageing, these cognacs are sent all over the world bearing different names : VIEILLE RESERVE, EXTRA VIEUX, HORS D'AGE , TRÈS VIEILLE GRANDE CHAMPAGNE, HERITAGE. The PINEAU DES CHARENTES a deliciously well-balanced and fruity drink, the result of a subtle alliance of grape juice and cognac completes our range of high class products.
